The best snus brands are the ones whose strength, pouch format and flavour suit the way you use nicotine, so no single name wins for everyone. What helps is knowing who makes what. This guide lists the brands we stock at Snuzone UK, the manufacturers behind them and what each one is known for, then points you to the right shortlist whether you want a gentle mint, a dessert flavour or a high-strength pouch for experienced users.
One thing to clear up first. In Sweden, snus means moist tobacco placed under the lip. In the UK, supplying tobacco for oral use is prohibited under the Tobacco for Oral Use (Safety) Regulations 1992, so every brand here is a tobacco-free nicotine pouch, which is what most people in the UK now mean by snus. These are adult products: the UK government lists an age of sale restriction for nicotine products among the Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 measures that apply from 29 October 2026. Whichever brand you choose, nicotine is addictive.

How to judge a snus brand before you buy
Four things decide whether a brand works for you: nicotine strength, how quickly that nicotine is released, the pouch format and what you pay per pouch. Origin and can design explain a lot about a brand's character, but they rarely settle the choice on their own.
Strength: look at mg per pouch, not only mg/g
The mg/g figure on the can tells you the concentration in the pouch material. What actually reaches you depends on how much material sits under your lip, so multiply the pouch weight in grams by the mg/g value to get mg per pouch. That is why a White Fox Slim at 16 mg/g holds around 12 mg of nicotine, while a Garant Extreme Mini at 50 mg/g holds only around 20 mg: more than three times the concentration, but less than twice the nicotine.
Brand scales add another layer. Velo uses dots, Klint numbers its levels and Pablo uses neither, so the mg/g value stays the most reliable way to compare. At Snuzone we group pouches into five tiers: Light (1 to 5 mg/g), Medium (6 to 9), Strong (10 to 14), Extra Strong (15 to 20) and Ultra Strong (21 to 65 mg/g). You can browse by tier when you shop by nicotine strength.
Release: moisture, pH and menthol
Two pouches with the same number can feel very different. Moister pouches release nicotine faster, and a higher pH speeds up absorption through the lining of the mouth, so a moist pouch with less nicotine can feel stronger than a dry one with more. Menthol also raises the perceived strength, which is why a cool mint tends to feel punchier than a fruit flavour at the same level. Customer reviews reflect this: White Fox and Siberia are often described as smooth but long-lasting, while Cuba Black and Pablo Ice Cold are described as a faster, more direct kick.
Format: Slim, Super Slim, Mini and Large
- Slim: long and narrow, sitting along the gumline for a discreet, steady release.
- Super Slim: the length of a Slim but noticeably narrower, as used by Siberia All White.
- Mini: shorter and flatter, with less nicotine in absolute terms even when the mg/g is high, and a quicker flavour release.
- Large or Original: the most volume and the longest release, but more noticeable under the lip.
Price per pouch and can count
Most cans hold 20 pouches, but plenty of brands differ: Garant packs 27 into a Slim can, Nois varies between 22 and 33 depending on the variety, Skruf Superwhite holds 24, Dope 22 and NOR 21. At the other end, White Fox Full Charge and the Large Siberia All White hold 15. Working out the price per pouch often reorders brands that look similar on the shelf.

Best snus brands by what you are looking for
Rather than a single top ten, here is a shortlist for each of the most common reasons people pick one brand over another.
Lower strengths and a gentle start
Klint is one of the few brands with genuinely low entry levels at 6 and 8 mg/g. Velo starts at 6 mg/g, around 4 mg per pouch. Helwit caps out at 7.5 mg per pouch and uses nicotine polacrilex, the form found in nicotine gum, for an even release. Noat's lowest level is 8 mg/g, around 4 mg per pouch, and Nued sits at one moderate 14 mg/g. For the mildest options in one place, see our light snus.
Flavour first
If taste matters more than kick, start with Habit Factory's Fix, whose flavours borrow from vaping (Pineapple Rum Coconut has a piña colada twist), or its sister brand Noto, which skips mint and fruit entirely for pimentón, ginger, pine, cedar, jasmine tea, green tea and bergamot. Après numbers its cocktail and dessert creations from No. 1 to No. 12, including an Aperol-inspired Spritz. Vont leans on drinks and desserts, Chainpop pairs two notes such as Almond & Vanilla, Dizz adds Choco Mint and a cola with cinnamon, and Loop builds its range around three types of chilli. You can also shop snus by flavour across every brand.
Mint purists
Siberia All White comes in one flavour only: peppermint with menthol coolness. White Fox deliberately avoids fruit, so every variety is mint or menthol. Greatest focuses on mint and menthol with its tingling, dry Cold Dry profile, and most Klint varieties are mint-based too. Velo's range is also dominated by peppermint and spearmint.
Slow and even, or fast and sharp
Some brands are built around how the nicotine arrives. GOAT advertises an even release without sudden peaks, Noat combines two nicotine forms for a flat release over around 60 minutes, and BLCK uses cellulose materials to stretch release to around 35 minutes. At the opposite end, Gritt reaches its peak within a few seconds, Killa and Vont use moist pouches for a quick start, Kurwa peaks after around three to five minutes, and Glitch is built for a fast onset. These quicker brands suit people who already know their tolerance.
High strength, for experienced users only
A number of brands sit well above the usual range. Pablo runs from the 14.5 mg/g Silver Edition up to its 50 mg/g Exclusive line at around 30 mg per pouch. Cuba splits its range into White, Ninja and Black lines, with a 50 mg/g Coca Leaf on top. Baron reaches around 32.5 mg per pouch, and Zeus gets to 25 mg from a light 0.5 g pouch purely through concentration. Iceberg combines around 25 flavours with 16 to 50 mg/g; the 75 mg and 150 mg figures sometimes linked to Iceberg refer to caffeine in its nicotine-free Energy line, not nicotine. Camo, Dope's #50 Series, Kuma and Siberia All White also belong in this group.
Treat these with care. In one study, the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) found an average of 9.5 mg of nicotine per pouch, with some products close to 50 mg, and it notes that the risk of poisoning rises with the amount of nicotine. Keep high-strength cans well out of reach of children.
Nicotine-free pouches
If you like the pouch but want to leave nicotine out, Zeronito is fully nicotine-free and uses chilli heat in three of its eight varieties to replace the familiar tingle. Fix Zero mirrors the Fix flavours at 0 mg, NOR has a complete nicotine-free line with mint and berry flavours, and Edel offers a nicotine-free fresh mint. Find them all in our nicotine-free snus range.
Swedish snus brands and the companies behind them
Sweden is where snus comes from, and Swedish snus brands still make up a large part of the market. The oldest names are tobacco products: Ettan, whose recipe dates back to 1822 and which is now made by Swedish Match, is the classic example, and Swedish Match has been part of Philip Morris International since 2022. Tobacco snus like Ettan or the original red Siberia cannot be sold in the UK, but many Swedish companies now make tobacco-free pouches, and those are the ones you will find here.
- GN Tobacco started in 2004 as Snus AB and took its current name in 2008. Its tobacco-free pouches have been made in an almost fully automated plant in Enköping since 2014, and it is the company behind White Fox and Siberia All White.
- Habit Factory in Stockholm, founded in 2018, launched Klint first, then Fix and most recently Noto. It splits the three by flavour: Klint for mint and the strength ladder, Fix for sweet and fruity profiles, Noto for spice, wood and tea.
- Skruf was founded in 2003 by two friends and named after the small town where it began. It now belongs to Imperial Brands and is made in Sävsjö.
- XQS was founded in 2005 in Jämtland and today belongs to Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
- Helwit comes from Yoik AB, founded in 2018, with production in Småland.
- Noat is made by Noat Sweden AB in Skåne, where development, production and packaging happen under one roof.
- Vont AB in Stockholm makes both Vont and Nued, Après Nicotine AB makes Après and Kuma, and Another Snus Factory makes Loop in Stockholm.
- In Gothenburg, Chainpop was founded in 2023, and the family company Microzero AB makes Zixs and Zeronito.
Who owns which snus brands
Behind roughly 40 brands sit far fewer companies, which explains why some brands feel related while others in the same portfolio are deliberately kept apart.
| Manufacturer | Based in | Brands we stock |
| N.G.P Tobacco | Aalborg, Denmark | Pablo, Killa (Killapods), BLCK |
| Ministry of Snus | Svendborg, Denmark | ACE, Gritt |
| British American Tobacco | London, UK (production in Pécs, Hungary) | Velo |
| Nicotobacco Factory | Warsaw, Poland | Cuba, Baron |
| Consumer Brands International | Czech Republic | Dope, GOAT, SYX |
| GN Tobacco | Enköping, Sweden | White Fox, Siberia All White |
| Habit Factory | Stockholm, Sweden | Klint, Fix, Noto |
| Après Nicotine AB | Stockholm, Sweden | Après, Kuma |
| Vont AB | Stockholm, Sweden | Vont, Nued |
| Microzero AB | Gothenburg, Sweden | Zixs, Zeronito |
| Imperial Brands | Factory in Sävsjö, Sweden | Skruf |
| Scandinavian Tobacco Group | XQS founded in Jämtland, Sweden | XQS |
N.G.P Tobacco separates its brands by strength: BLCK sits in the middle at 12 mg/g, Killa stays at 16 mg/g, and Pablo covers the widest span from 14.5 to 50 mg/g. Despite the similar name, it has no direct link to NGP Imperial, the Next Generation Products division of Imperial Brands. Ministry of Snus was founded in 2018 as a subsidiary of the Mac Baren Tobacco Company and positions ACE and Gritt as opposites: ACE for an even release with sweet flavours, Gritt for a fast, salty kick. British American Tobacco is headquartered in London, makes Velo in Pécs and has opened a newer plant in Trieste, Italy.
Smaller independents fill in the rest of the map. The Baltic states are especially busy, with Dizz, Glitch and Nois from Estonia, Garant, Camo and Kurwa from Lithuania, and Zeus from Latvia. NOR is made near Oslo in Norway, Edel in Switzerland, Greatest in Finland, and V&YOU comes from Vilosophy UK Ltd.
Renamed brands you might be searching for
A few name changes cause confusion when you search for a brand:
- Grant and Garant are the same brand with the same products. Searching for Grant snus or Grand snus will lead you to Garant.
- Lyft and Epok were British American Tobacco brands. In 2022 the group merged both under the international name Velo, and the 1 to 6 dot strength system carried over from Lyft.
- Skruf moved its varieties to a consistent numbering system, and the numbers do not indicate strength.
- NOR originally named its flavours after Norwegian mountains and landscapes. The numbers stayed and the names became flavour descriptions, so No. 1 Falketind is now No. 1 Cool Mint.
- Kurwa's former Fatality and Killer lines at 46.9 mg/g have left the range, leaving the Kurwa Collection at 16 mg/g.
